Shahid Kapur to receive Rajiv Gandhi Award


I feel humbled and honoured, says actor.

After well-known personalities like Sachin Tendulkar, Mukesh Ambani, Sunita Williams in addition to Amitabh Bachchan, Bollywood actor Shahid Kapur becomes the most modern recipient of the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Award.

The 28-year-old is going to be accessible with the 12th Rajiv Gandhi Award in the most excellent actor category. The award function will be held in the subsequent week of August.

"I was enjoyably surprised to get the intelligence about my being elected for the prestigious award. I am only 28 years old and it's actually in the early hours in my career. I feel humbled as well as honoured to be chosen by the jury," said Shahid.

This year, Shahid will be seen in three movies - Vishal Bharadwaj's "Kaminey" opposite Priyanka Chopra, Aditya Chopra's "Dil Bole Hadippa" contradictory Rani Mukerji in addition to a Ken Ghosh movie clashing Genelia D'Souza.
