Playing a Sikh character was a big liability, says Saif


Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, who is in concert a Sikh in some parts of his first appearance production "Love Aaj Kal" (pictured above), says essaying the temperament meant a lot of responsibility for him.

"You have to work with immense responsibility while playing certain typescript so that you don't end up hurting others' sentiments. I have played the role of a Sikh gentleman in this movie with sensitivity. A lot of work went at the rear it in order to make the temperament authentic," Saif told reporters.

"We took care of the costumes, the look, mannerisms, dialect in addition to a lot of other belongings like I was told not to smoke while tiresome the turban while we were shooting for the motion picture in Patiala," he added.

"Love Aaj Kal", directed by Imtiaz Ali of "Jab We Met" fame, also stars Deepika Padukone furthermore is set to release on July 31.
