London aims for Dr Shah Rukh!


Shah Rukh, the primary foreign performer to be conferred the Malaysian title of Datuk - akin to a British knighthood - last year, will take delivery of his first doctorate July 10.

The performer was selected for the doctorate by NGO Routes to Roots, an associate of the World Association of Non-Governmental Organization (WANGO) that works closely with universities and educational trusts in various countries, said a press release. "I am enchanted that Routes to Roots nominated me for the honorary doctorate in arts and civilization from the Bedfordshire University, Britain, and it will be my enjoyment to receive it in my opinion July 10 in London," said Shah Rukh.

Routes to Roots are a non-profit benevolent organization and endeavors to bring people and cultures cooperatively crossways the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (Saarc) countries in general and India and Pakistan in meticulous. Actor Judie Chawla and movie maker Mahesh Bhatt are in the middle of its patrons.

"Shah Rukh Khan was chosen by us after watchful study since he has his head and heart at the accurate place in spite of being crowned the king of Bollywood. The megastar has done enormous work for the underprivileged and subjugated and has always come backward for charities in case of expected disasters," said Tina Vachani, co-founder, Routes to Roots.
