JOHN ABRAHAM LOVES COLLECTING HELMETS

I take care of them as my babies, he says.

Bollywood heartthrob John Abraham's craze for motorbikes is well-known. But very few know that he loves collecting helmets too.

"Bikes are my passion and I take care of my helmets as my babies. Like people go and buy clothes, I go shopping for helmets. I have different helmets for different days," John told reporters in New Delhi on Wednesday (Sept 16).

"People feel I'm crazy, but I love shopping for my helmets and I have all major brands," he added.

The 36-year-old actor, who is the brand ambassador of Yamaha, was in the capital to launch three new bikes - Vmax along with limited edition of Fazer and FZ series.

After launching the motorcycles, John talked about safety measure that bikers should keep in mind while riding.

"Safety is very important and that's why helmets should be a biker's priority. Safety of pillion riders is also important and they should also wear helmets," he said.

"Indian roads, mainly Mumbai is not very conducive for two wheelers. There are riders who don't take any precautions and are very irresponsible. On the other hand, there are people who walk on the road without thinking and taking care," said the actor who will be next seen in films like "Hook Ya Crook" and "1-1800 Love".

BIPS WILL FINALLY SAY F***

Bipasha Basu will finally get to abuse in Sanjay Gupta’s Pankh,as the censor board has okayed director Sudipto Chattopadhyay’s demand to use the ‘F’ word without any beeps or deletion.

Pankh has been in a battle with the censors since the past 6 months, starting with the film’s content, abusive language and nude scenes. Starring newcomer Maradonna Rebello, Bipasha Basu and Lilette Dubey, the film is reportedly based on the case of child actor Ahsaas Channa, who's apparently a girl passed off as a boy in movies like Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and Vaastu Shastra.

Earlier the censor board had created a hue and cry about Maradonna’s nude scene in the film, in which he was supposed to bare his butt in the climax. Mardonna had told StarBoxOffice earlier, “The scene is crucial to the climax of the film; it’s not vulgar and has been handled very tastefully. While I did have my apprehensions before doing the scene, Sudipto has portrayed it so well, that I’m sure the audience will connect to the emotions portrayed by my character in the film.”

While the censor board was on a scene chopping spree and even gave the film an A certificate, Sudipto was hell bent on having the word F*** used twice in the film without beeps or deletion. He explained to the press saying, 'Bipasha plays protagonist Maradona’s alter ego. She fights as well as supports him throughout the film. She says f*** during one of the scenes where they are at loggerheads. She tells Maradona, ‘You are f***** up in the head, that’s why you want to f*** me.’

The censor board has finally relented and has allowed the words to be used, Sudipto is naturally ecstatic and this will be the first time a Bollywood actress will say the F word on screen without any beeps or deletion.

If you think about it, isn’t the industry going through its series of firsts, well better late than never!

BIPASHA TO GLAM UP ROCKET SINGH WITH A SPECIAL SONG

Shimit Amin's Rocket Singh - Salesman of the Year starring Ranbir Kapoor has got a shot of zing in the arm. The film, which is theoretical to have no female lead opposite Ranbir, will feature Bipasha Basu in a special song in a glam avtaar.

Sources verify that Bipasha's song will be the only glam part of an or else male lead-dominated film.

A source reveals, "Rocket Singh is a character driven film with no clear lead pair. Unexpectedly, after they began shooting, the idea of no oomph in the film didn't seem right, Aditya Chopra had a word with Shimit and bounced an idea of an item number with Bipasha in it.

The source adds, "The director liked the idea and Bips was roped in for a song and a few scenes. Another reason for Bips being in the movie is that Yash Raj really liked her chemistry with Ranbir in last year's Bachna Ae Haseeno."

Bipasha will shoot for the film in two weeks on a set in Yash Raj Studios. A spokesperson for Yash Raj says, "Not true at all." The film hits cinemas worldwide on Dec 11 this year.

BIPASHA TO JUDGE A BRITISH REALITY SHOW

She’s looking to start on her international career.

Bipasha Basu will play a guest judge for a few weeks on a top-rated British talent hunt on TV.

Bipasha, who is busy trying to launch her global career, is more than contented to have taken up this project.

During a recent trip to the UK, Bipasha met the organisers of the show who asked her to be a part of the reality programme.

Bipasha notion it to be interesting to be a part of such a prominent show, in which talented people from across Britain platform their skills.

On the other hand, the organisers want to woo the Asian audience in Britain and think Bipasha will be the suitable person to boost the show’s status among the Asian community.

Bipasha has been offered a huge fee and now she is keen to get the deal inked.

BIPASHA TO HOST SHOW BASED ON US SUPERMODEL'S NEXT TOP MODEL

Shah Rukh's Red Chillies Entertainment is producing an American-based reality show in India. The production house has signed Bipasha Basu on, as the host of the show.

It is learnt that the show will go on floors by next month. It has the same concept as America's Next Top Model. A source discloses, "The show will have a number of women fight for the title of the Best Model to get a chance to start their career in the modelling industry. There will be minor changes in the pattern of the show as it is catering to the Indian spectators and the show will be called the Female Model Hunt."

The source continues, "The show in America has gained a lot of fame and has one of the highest TRPs. The American show host in former supermodel Tyra Banks. In India, one will see model-turned-actress Bipasha Basu as the show host.

The show format will have around nine to thirteen episodes and will start with 10-14 contestants. In each episode, one contestant will be eliminated. There will also be a panel of judges which are still under the working process. But the judges to be chosen will be from the modeling industry.

Red Chillies earlier produced The First Ladies with Abu-Sandeep and Knights and Angels. It also produced a drama based serial called Ghar Ki Baat Hai.

DOSTANA QUARTET TO CHASE KATRINA

Katrina Kaif will be joining the crazy team of John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan in the sequel to Dostana.

She has signed the deal lately and is now the leading lady of the film. But Katrina’s not the only addition to the offered cast. Also in the list to woo and court her will be Arjun Rampal and Riteish Deshmukh. The two men have been taken on board to give the plot an extra zing.

Director Tarun Mansukhani has finally come up with the perfect script for the sequel to Dostana. Producer Karan Johar’s brief to Tarun was, “Go for it ... I’ll produce it only if you come up with the right script.” And Tarun claims to have done just that. The sequel will have not one or two, but four men chasing the pretty girl.

Our source reveals, “Katrina was preferred to play the female lead after much forethought. Dharma Productions has auditioned dozens of new girls. Actually, they wanted a fresh face for Dostana 2. But finally, after a tiresome Google search, they felt that Katrina’s ‘most hit’ status on the Internet makes it apt for her to play the role of the ‘most hit’ girl by the boys in Dostana 2.”

“It speaks volumes for Katrina’s professionalism that she has agreed to co-star with Abhishek, regardless of the rumoured differences with Aishwarya Rai over the Barbie doll issue and even with John, whom boyfriend Salman Khan has actually declared as a forbidden zone.”

Katrina, presently in New York, refuses to comment.

DOSTANA MAKES IT TO NEW YORK FEST

Even months after its release, Dharma Productions’ path-breaking commercial film, Dostana, directed by debutant Tarun Mansukhani carry on to make news. It has been chosen as the opening film for the iView Film Festival in New York.

Dostana will be screened at the Lincoln Centre for the Performing Arts on the 28th and 29th of this month. It is the first Hindi film to be screened at the iView Film Festival.

Director Tarun Mansukhani, who is at present scripting Dostana 2, is completely overjoyed. On his Facebook and Twitter pages, he said, '(Tarun) is happy to say that DOSTANA is going to be screened at the Lincoln Center, New York as the opening film for the iView Film Festival on 28th & 29th August.'

When Tarun spoke to StarBoxOffice, he said, "The iView Film Festival is about human rights, connection and domination of any kind around the world. It is amazing that a film like Dostana has been chosen to be screened there because for the first time an Indian movie has been chosen to be screened at the fest and at the Lincoln Theatre which is a dream venue for any filmmaker."

"I got the call about the selection a week ago and we were working out the logistics and now everything has been established. They saw the movie a few months ago and talks were going on. At that time, homosexual was illegal and a criminal offense in India. We are happy that a film like Dostana has been chosen because typically they play serious films and documentaries at the festival."

John, Boman and Kirron will attend the fest with Tarun. "We are going to be in New York from the 27th to the 30th. Abhishek Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra are shooting so they will not be able to come."

Tarun has also asked all his friends and people who liked the movie in New York to join the Dostana cast and crew there.

Dostana has already won the Screen Award for Best Jodi for John and Abhishek, the IIFA award for best performance in a comic role for Abhishek Bachchan and the IIFA for best choreography for Desi Girl for Farah Khan.

JOHN LIGHTS UP BIPASHA’S HOME

It shocked and surprised her.

John Abraham has gifted girlfriend Bipasha Basu a home full of lights, as she moves into her lately renovated apartment.

John is currently in London shooting for Abbas Tyrewala’s film “1-800-Love”. But he co-ordinated with her interior decorator and made payments for the lights and the chandeliers before he left for the shoot.

All the light fittings are from Italy and Spain, and had been selected by Bips herself.

John was aware that Bipasha had been hunting and buying stuff from all over the world to do up her house for last couple of months. He also knew that she had liked these exacting light fixtures. So John teamed up with her decorator and purchased them without her awareness.

Bipasha only came to know about his gift when she entered her apartment for the house warming event. She was fully shocked and surprised to see her house all lit up, thanks to John.

As John’s house is under renovation too, it’s now Bipasha’s turn to come up with something to match John’s glowing gift.

Kareena replaces Bipasha in 'Race 2'

Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan was so keen to revitalize the "Race" magic with Abbas-Mustan that he has influenced the producers to cable them in as directors. He reveals that girlfriend Kareena Kapoor will also characteristic in the movie.

"They recognize the pulse of the plot.’Race' was a fast-paced action-adventure caper. Not too many motion picture makers in Bollywood would've done such a wonderful job of it," Saif told.

"Yes, Kareena will be part of 'Race 2'. We're yet to flesh out the details. But 'Race 2' has to be better in addition to larger than 'Race'. Otherwise no point in making it," he added.

Bipasha Basu's temperament has been written out of the typescript to make way for Kareena.

Police asked to investigate against John Abraham regarding complain
