Superstar fails to live up to commitment.

Salman Khan came into Dubai last night (Oct 6) for a Being Human event. At the same time, he projected to promote his approaching film, “Main Aurr Mrs Khanna”, so some interviews with local media were lined up.

First, we were told he and bro Sohail were having visa issues. Then we were informed they would speak to the media, but only post 11.30pm. The brothers would come straight in from the airport for their interviews at a posh five-star hotel.

Cut to date: Their flight was postponed. When Salman landed at 11.15pm, he said he didn’t feel like giving interviews. We appreciate. He was suffering from jet lag, flying in a-l-l the way from Mumbai.

Were we astonished that he said no to interviews despite keeping journos waiting till that late? Not really! We would have been surprised if Salman Khan had kept his word to the media. That’s so not him!

SALMAN GIFTS RS.25,000 TO A BEGGAR

It was a person from his past!

Salman Khan has time and again confirmed that he has a very bighearted heart. This time he showed that by gifting a beggar 25 thousand rupees.

While shooting at Bandra Fort for his upcoming movie “Wanted” recently, Salman recognised a beggar. He went up to him and asked if he was the same person who used to sell kites at Bandra Bandstand. The beggar said yes.

In fact Salman used to buy kites from that person when he was a child. But he hadn’t seen him for years. And now after 20 years he saw him and recognised him!

So he gave him Rs. 25,000 and some food and clothes.

Now that was a double treat for the beggar. A superstar not only recognised him but also gave him money and other requirements.

I DON'T WANT TO BE A STAR: SALMAN

Many feel that Salman Khan has turn into more enduring over the years.

So, has he changed? “See everybody has lots of shades to their personality. You aren’t in the best of moods all the time. When we are on the sets there are times when we get enormously pakaoed. When you are already hassled and if some one troubles you, then you can be a bit rude to them.

But we realise it the next instant and are extra sweet to them. As for the media, why I deal with them in such a manner... that’s because I don’t want to be a star,” he shrugs. SALMAN LEAVES FARAH RED FACED

Choreographer-turned-director Farah Khan says that Bollywood star Salman Khan had left her red-faced when he took her beside for the auditions of his super hit 1989 film "Maine Pyar Kiya".

Farah recalled the occasion when she came on the reality show "Dus Ka Dum 2", which is being hosted by Salman.

"He (Salman) took me along so that I could show him a few steps to do before director Sooraj Barjatya. But when Salman did the steps, it was so awful that I just picked up by footwear, hailed a cab and took off home," said Farah on the show.

Salman, who started retiring after his secret was exposed, agreed that he did have two left feet then and later even confirmed the step he was vital to perform at the auditions, said a source from the sets of the show.

Salman Khan is a lion hearted

Bollywood's prominent banner Yash Raj Films has denied reports that it has signed Salman Khan for a movie, saying they are "completely baseless".

It was reported that writer-turned-director Vijay Krishna Acharya, whose executive debut "Tashan" was produced by the banner, is directing his second film for Yash Raj Films and that Salman would star in it.

"We would like to elucidate that this is a completely baseless and incorrect story. Vijay is still in the process of writing his next script for Yash Raj Films. No casting has consequently been done nor has anyone been considered for the same," stated the banner.

"As and when we do finalise the script and the casting is complete, a suitable announcement will be made," it added.

Salman, who has worked with almost all the filmmakers in the industry, is yet to be seen in a Yash Raj Films production.

MY NAME IS KHAN SET BEING ERECTED AT FILM CITY

The cast and crew of Karan Johar’s My Name is Khan is back from San Francisco and according to sources, the next agenda of the film is most likely to take place at Film City.

A huge set is being constructed at Josh Maidain, Film City. A dam, which measures around three feet in depth and 135 x 240 meter in size, is being constructed inside which a church and some small houses are going to be constructed.

According to the source, plans are to shoot a storm scene where they will be showing the church n houses flooded in water.

The movie stars Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol and is slated to release early next year.
