KARAN JOHAR IN GUINNESS BOOK

Bollywood seems to have taken the Guinness Book of records by storm. Karan Johar’s blockbuster occurrence Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is all set to create history.

Music composer Krish is planning to use 223 singers to croon each and every word of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’stitle soundtrack Tum Paas Aaye from the film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Never has there been a song sung by so many singers in this unusual, one-word-a-singer style. The original song composed by Jatin Lalit is defined as one of the most romantic songs in Bollywood.

Krish says, ‘It has got the right pauses, is light and has got mass appeal.’ Krish has reportedly roped in some big names from the music industry for the song and will announce the details soon. On the other hand Karan Johar too is excited by the unique experiment and a source close to the director says, “Karan was really happy when he heard that Krish was planning on using the song in such a unique manner, not only did he feel that it was a great concept but he really appreciated the fact that Krish used his song. He’s planning on using the song in the animated remake of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, titled Koochie Koochie Hota Hai.”

Poor Priyanka couldn’t make it last time around, and we wish all the luck to K-Jo to make it to Guinness this time around!

FASHION’S THE WAY FOR KJO

After scheming for Shah Rukh Khan for years, well turned out and totally-with-it shopaholic Karan Johar is all set to begin his own fashion line.

Karan loves shopping in the US and UK. He shops for SRK too and has styled him in films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Main Hoon Na, K3G, My Name is Khan, Billu, Kal Ho Naa Ho and others. Even if he isn’t the official designer, he gives his inputs as he knows accurately what SRK can carry off and what looks best on him. He even advises him concerning his public appearances.

Karan loves fashion and is measured one of the most stylish directors in the industry. He says he has so many clothes that he needs another apartment just to put up them. He has clothes in all shapes and sizes as he fears he will become fat again.

The line will be launched at the HDIL Couture Week in October. KJo is designing the line along with Varun Bahl. The line will be called ‘Karan Johar with Varun Bahl’ unnecessary to say, Shah Rukh Khan, who also the showstopper for Manish Malhotra’s Kolkatta Knight Riders line at the Lakme Fashion Week in March prior this year, will be the showstopper for his best friend and designer KJo. It’s the most natural thing to do. Tall and lean pretty boys, Imran Khan and Ranbir Kapoor, both of whom have bagged Dharma films, will open the show. SRK’s wife and Karan Johar’s ‘soulmate’s Gauri Khan will be the only female model for the line. We wonder why he isn’t featuring his favourite actresses like Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. That would make the show a glamoruous Bollywood affair.

Karan said, ‘I have been designing for SRK for 12 years now so it is a given that he will be part of my collection. The line, which I am designing with Varun Bahl will be a menswear collection with other surprise elements. I am very excited.’
